Higher education research operates across a dense and fast-moving ecosystem: cybersecurity, cyberinfrastructure, research security, compliance, funding programs, national training, community convenings, and federal policy cycles. No single organization publishes “the full picture,” and the people doing the work often find themselves tracking dozens of disconnected calendars just to stay oriented.
This aggregated community calendar exists to reduce friction, improve situational awareness, and support the people doing the operational work of protecting and enabling research. It is designed as a service to the broader community as a simple way to see what is happening around us, across organizations, without requiring every individual to maintain their own mental map.
This is not owned by any single entity. It is a community-of-communities resource, reflecting the reality that research security, research cybersecurity, and research computing are deeply interconnected. Our goal is to make the landscape easier to navigate, so institutions can focus less on chasing information and more on supporting their researchers.
